PetroSorb™ granular activated carbon products designed for the oil and gas industry, covering water treatment, vapour treatment, and process applications in petrochemical facilities

  • Amine purification & Glycol recovery – PetroSorb 1000/1500/2000 direct activated, PetroSorb 620 reagglomerated granular, and PetroSorb GXB extruded pellet bituminous coal based activated carbons selected to your feed conditions. By treating a side stream of recirculating amine liquor, a suitably selected activated carbon can greatly prolong the service life of the amine. Similarly, the purification of glycol used in gas dehydration processes ensures optimum performance and reduces the risk of secondary contamination of the raffinate.
  • Steam Condensate treatment – PetroSorb HS. In the reuse of steam condensate oil and hydrocarbons must be removed upstream of ion exchange resins in boiler water recirculation systems. Jacobi’s PetroSorb™ HS series includes HS-D coconut based activated carbon with low silica release, which reduces wash water requirements and ensures that the ion exchange columns function as intended in the removal of trace metals, and not silica, from the recirculating condensate.

  • EcoSorb BXC/BXB/BXA series and BX-Plus series extruded bituminous coal based activated carbons for VOC and odour capture, and steam & pressure regenerated solvent and vapour recovery systems.
  • EcoSorb XP15 specialty powdered activated carbon for cleaning of flue gas from waste incineration. The product is processed to develop a balanced proportion of adsorption and transportation pores to provide excellent performance in the removal of dioxins, furans and heavy metals. The particle size of EcoSorbTM XP15 is carefully controlled to ensure efficient adsorption, yet retain excellent filtration characteristics.
  • Ecosorb SP23 a high activity coconut based powdered activated carbon for the efficient cleaning of flue gas from waste incineration and power generation. The product is processed to develop a high proportion of adsorption pores to provide excellent performance and high capacity in the removal of dioxins, furans and heavy metals. It is produced from a sustainable raw material that effectively offsets CO2 emissions from processes which emit this greenhouse gas to the environment.

H2S control for biogas, CO2, emissions, fuel gas, nat gas

  • AddSorb VA1 is aversatile, pellet form, coal based activated carbon impregnated with both potassium iodide and potassium hydroxide offering two reaction pathways for high H2S capacity and SO2 removal capability. Requires some O2 in the gas stream.
  • AddSorb VA2 catalyticpotassium iodide impregnated,granular, coconut shell based activated carbon for removal of H2S from gas streams with O2 content. VA2 offers very high H2S capacity and long bed life in appropriately selected conditions
  • AddSorb VA3 KOH impregnated,pellet, coal based activated carbon for removal of H2S from gas streams with O2 content
  • AddSorb VA4 copper oxide impregnated,pellet, coal based activated carbon for removal of H2S from gas streams without O2 content

  • AddSorb VA12 catalyticpotassium iodide impregnated,pellet, coal based activated carbon for removal of H2S from gas streams with O2 content. VA12 offers very high H2S capacity and long bed life in appropriately selected conditions
  • AddSorb OX30 specialty doped coconut shell based pellet activated carbon offering a sustainable product with the highest H2S capacity and best handling characteristics. Requires some O2 in the gas stream. Utilising a high activity base OX30 also offers high capacity for removal of organic contaminants.
  • Sulfox KC-Plus catalytic coconut shell based granular activated carbon offering a sustainable product with very high H2S capacity. KC-Plus also offers significant removal capacity for SO2 and organic contaminants. Requires some O2 in the gas stream. This product can be water wash regenerated in situ for reuse with appropriate procedures.
