Thermo Scientific offers a range of filtration cartridges for different industries and levels of filtration. The Micro-Klean™ RT depth filters are made entirely from polypropylene and are designed to trap large amounts of dirt while maintaining good flow rates, giving them a long service life and reducing filter replacement costs. They are widely used in industries such as food and beverage, chemicals, coatings, electronics, water treatment and general manufacturing.
For finer filtration, Thermo Scientific also offers Betafine™ pleated polypropylene filters, which provide a larger filtration area for longer life and higher flow, and LifeASSURE™ membrane filters, which are designed for high-purity and critical applications such as food and beverage processing, electronics manufacturing and industrial chemical filtration. Different membrane materials are available depending on the application and required filtration performance.

All-Polypropylene Rigid Thermal Bonded Filter Cartridges
Advancing Depth Filtration Through Technological Innovation Micro-Klean™ RT series filters, manufactured using rigid extrusion bonded technology, are all-polypropylene depth filter cartridges offering premium features including:
- consistent particle reduction efficiencies throughout the filter’s life,
- increased surface area for extended filter life,
- low initial pressure drop for enhanced flow, and
- high particle reduction efficiencies at high flow rates (flux).
The filter’s extended service life results in fewer filter change-outs while its enhanced flow characteristics can typically reduce the number of filters required to achieve a given flow rate. These combined features can significantly reduce total filtration costs.
