Wastewater Treatment
Ion exchange resin is widely used in wastewater recycling and wastewater effluent applications. The removal of cations especially toxic, heavy metal ions, assists with ensuring used water is environmentally safe for release to waterways or reuse.
Wastewater reuse or final discharge to the environment requires the removal of contaminants that may either hinder process reuse or damage the aquatic environment of receiving waters at the discharge site.
In the semiconductor, printed circuit board, and electroplating industries for example, Resinex™ can be used to remove heavy metals and other contaminants, enabling wastewater reuse.
Resinex™ CH-23 chelation resin effectively removes cadmium, zinc, copper, chromium, mercury, lead, gold, silver, and cyanide complexes.
Resinex™ CH-80 high-purity WAC resin is highly selective to mercury in demanding industrial applications, and also removes heavy metals such as silver, copper, lead, nickel, cobalt, and cadmium.
Resinex™ TPX-4500 and Resinex™ TPX-4501 SBA resins remove organics to enable reuse and minimize BOD/COD/TOC discharge impact.
