Hydro Processing Catalyst

Evonik offers an extensive inventory of high quality regenerated, rejuvenated, and fresh catalysts, along with grading materials and metal traps. The inventory includes current generation CoMo and NiMo catalysts which are suitable for a wide range of hydro-processing applications.

Hydro processing

All catalysts are thoroughly analysed to ensure physical and chemical properties meet specifications for maximum performance and low start of cycle pressure drop.

  • We offer customized Full Reactor Load designs to meet your specific processing objectives and product quality targets using catalysts from our inventory, ranging from the top bed grading and support materials through the main catalyst bed.
  • Top Bed Grading
  • CatGuard® metal traps
  • Main bed:
    • Excel® rejuvenated catalysts
    • Regenerated catalysts
    • Surplus fresh catalysts
  • Inert Bed Support (Durocel® 222)

OCTAMAX™ Gasoline Hydrotreating Catalyst

Evoniks OctaMax™ is a sustainable catalyst used in gasoline hydrotreating units post FCC to reduce sulphur levels whilst maintaining octane of the finished fuel.

In producing OctaMax™ Evonik utilises uniquely selected spent catalyst developed for higher severity applications and regenerates these at enhanced conditions to take advantage of the higher activity of these catalysts.

CatGuard® metal traps and active grading materials

Evonik offer a range of CatGuard® in varied forms – trilobe, hollow cylinder for hydro-processing solutions.

  • Silicon, Arsenic, Phosphorous traps
  • Metal trap active gradings
  • Microporous inert grading
  • Metal trap activated alumina grading

From Evonik we provide our Durocel range of inert ceramic and alumina support balls for gas, petrochemical and refining operations.

Durocel 222

Standard grade inert ceramic support balls for operations to 1200 C and available in sizes from 3mm to 50mm. Proven in hydrotreating and Gas operations worldwide.

Durocel 235

Tabular alumina >99% purity inert support balls for operations to 1800 C and available in sizes 3mm to 50mm. Proven in applications demanding extreme chemical inertness, low porosity, minimisation of leachable impurities.
